YOUR VOTE MATTERS

This year Hawaii voters have two options for voting. The first is to vote by mail with the ballot that the Office of Elections will send to you. The other is to vote in person at two designated sights on Oahu. This page will give you information on the voting process and the options you have for returning your ballot.

REGISTRATION

Voters now have the option of registering to vote and then voting on the same day. In order to register you must have a Social Security Number OR Current Hawaii Driver License OR State ID with you when you go to a Voter Service Center. These are located at Honolulu Hale and Kapolei Hale. More information on these service centers can be found below.

VERIFYING YOU ARE REGISTERED

If you are not sure about your voter registration you can check it online at elections.hawaii.gov. Simply click the Voters tab, then click Registration. You will be asked for your Name, Date of Birth, last four digits of your Social Security Number and your Hawaii Driver License Number or State ID Number. You may also contact the Honolulu Elections Office at (808) 768-3800 to confirm your registration is up-to-date.

RETURNING YOUR MARKED BALLOT

By Mail: The return envelope is postage paid via the U.S. Postal Service and addressed to your County Elections Division. Your ballot should be mailed at least 3-5 days prior to Election Day to ensure it is received by the deadline.
